Kristin Collins, LPC, CMPC

Counselor

I believe each person’s story is unique, and I’m passionate about walking alongside individuals as they pursue growth, healing, and clarity. My approach to therapy is collaborative, warm, and client-centered. I aim to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

I take a holistic view of mental health, considering the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I am trained in EMDR therapy and incorporate evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we’ll explore tools and strategies that align with your values, goals, and life circumstances.

I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and athletes facing challenges related to trauma, anxiety, grief, stress, relationship dynamics, and performance issues. Whether you're working through past wounds or striving for personal or athletic excellence, I’m here to help.

My background includes work with Duke University Athletics’ Behavioral Health Team and Westminster College’s Athletics and Counseling Center. I am a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), credentialed through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Slippery Rock University, where I also served as an assistant coach for the women’s volleyball team. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Juniata College, where I was a student-athlete on the women’s volleyball team. My personal experience in athletics continues to inform my work with performers today.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, being active, connecting with my faith and family, and getting outside whenever I can. Whether it's a walk with my pups or some friendly competition, I value staying grounded, playful, and present.
