Amanda Hiltz, MS, LPC.

Certified School Counselor

Hi, I’m Amanda - a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified School Counselor who specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and families. My passion is helping young people manage anxiety, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills that empower them to thrive at school and at home.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and play-based interventions to meet each child where they are emotionally and developmentally. I believe that connection and trust are the foundation of growth, and I strive to create a space where kids and teens feel heard, supported, and capable of change. I also offer therapy from a Christian perspective and am happy to incorporate faith/spiritual value into our sessions.

In addition to working in private practice, I continue to work in the school setting. I provide counseling, social–emotional learning, and crisis support to elementary students. This experience allows me to understand the unique challenges children face in academic and social environments, and to work closely with families and educators to promote lasting progress.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Carlow University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and pets, being outdoors, & exploring new coffee shops.
