Clinician Supervision
Hello there!
I want to start off by recognizing that seeking help is not the easiest thing to do and I aim to convey a sense of bravery throughout the counseling process with all of my clients. I believe that we all have the ability to answer life’s tough questions within us, sometimes we just need a compassionate, listening ear, some guidance, and skill-building along the way.
I have been working in various settings across the counseling landscape for over a decade. I have experience working with a myriad of presenting issues, with some specific emphasis in addictions, communication, and existential/life change questions. I approach counseling with a supportive, nonjudgmental, and validating foundation. I utilize DBT, CBT, MI, and problem-solving techniques, among others. My goal is to partner with clients to help them gain
new skills, as well as confidence in using them, so that they can rely on a fully furnished “toolbox” for when life gets tough. I believe that hope is one of the most powerful motivators, so I focus on building and strengthening the hope we all have for life to get better.
In regards to a supervisory role, I have been acting in this capacity for about a decade. I have had the privilege to provide support to numerous pre-licensed therapists as well as many seasoned clinicians. My approach is that of a servant leader, always looking for how I can reinforce strengths while providing guidance.
