Faith 'Jax' Lambert (she/they) works with children age 8+, teens, adults, families, and groups.
She has over 13 years of experience in the community mental health setting, over 2 years of experience in family-based therapy, 3 years of private practice outpatient, and decades of outdoor experience. Jax received her graduate degree from Geneva College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is currently pursuing training (expected completion: middle of 2025) for the CCAT (Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist) through the AEE (Association for Experiential Education). Jax is fully trained in EMDR and pursuing certification.
Jax approaches counseling holistically from a trauma-focused perspective while utilizing evidence-based techniques including Experiential Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, TF-CBT, and aspects of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness, and parts work. Jax works collaboratively with her clients, personalizing her treatment approach to individual needs. Jax treats a variety of specialities including ADHD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, family conflicts, helping those in the LGBTQIA+ community navigate life and society, life transitions, and complex trauma. Jax offers an environment that is genuine, affirming, nonjudgmental, and empowering.
Jax can incorporate Adventure Therapy into sessions; such as hiking, creeking, orienteering, other activities, as well as sitting by the river or walking around a park.
